Each year, Four County EMC offers all-expense paid summer basketball camp scholarships for middle school students (rising sixth through eighth grade). Boys can apply to attend the Roy Williams Carolina Basketball Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill and girls can compete for a spot at the Wolfpack Women's Basketball Camp at N.C. State University.
In 2019, camp dates are:
- Wolfpack Women's Camp: June 9-12
- Roy Williams Basketball Camp: June 22-26
Students can download an application beginning Jan. 1, 2019. Four County EMC will select one student for each camp in a competitive process based on academics, extra curricular activities and a short essay. Rising sixth through eighth graders are eligible to apply and the final deadline is March 31.
Not only does the program allow North Carolina middle school students to spend time on a college campus, it also gives them the opportunity to receive individual and group instruction from two successful collegiate coaches to enhance their basketball skills.
