The Four County Electric general service area offers a unique selection of available buildings and fully developed industrial sites with infrastructure including all utilities. Four County Electric’s looped transmission system is designed to provide the highest quality electrical service to our customers. Other electrical service in the region is provided by four electric membership cooperatives and Carolina Power and Light.
Natural gas transmission through the service area is provided exclusively by North Carolina Natural Gas. Since deregulation has mandated open transmission access, there are a total of eight companies that are registered in North Carolina that may provide the commodity of natural gas to the customer.
The primary telephone companies in the Four County Electric service area are ATT, Sprint and Star Telephone Electric Membership Corporation. Cellular telephone service is provided throughout the region by a number of cellular companies. High-speed communications via digital switching and fiber optics are also available.High speed internet is available through various internet providers.
